The DSSM consists of two 10’ containers, one housing two vacuum chambers and the other two hot gas decontamination modules. It is used for decontaminating sensitive devices and personal protective equipment such as protective clothing.
The DSSM consists of two 10’ containers, the CSE container and the CPE container. The CSE container (container for sensitive equipment) holds two newly developed vacuum decontamination modules each with a capacity of 265 litres and a generator, which guarantees the safe decontamination of larger, sensitive items of equipment with a high throughput. The CPE container (container for personal equipment) safely decontaminates personal equipment such as protective clothing. It contains a wet treatment centre, two hot gas decontamination modules with optimised heat distribution, a water tank and generator. By using both 10’ containers, the DSSM can decontaminate up to 54 sets of sensitive equipment and up to 54 sets of personal equipment per hour. Each chamber has doors on the front and back, to ensure the strict separation of contaminated and non-contaminated areas. Both containers can be used fully independently from the carrier vehicle for at least one hour. Alternatively, they can also be loaded onto a trailer.
