At a joint stand together with Alfred Kärcher Vertriebs GmbH for the first time, Kärcher Futuretech will be using this platform to come into contact with representatives from civil defence and disaster control organisations. The central product at the exhibition will be the DRDS 1, a one-person rescue and decontamination set which offers an innovative method for the quick, gentle and thorough decontamination of persons at the accident location. “We are pleased to have the opportunity to present our solution for immediate treatment after accidents involving toxic matter to users and decision-makers”, says Kärcher Futuretech Sales Manager Wolfgang Marx who is already excitedly looking forward to the exhibition. The DRDS 1 is an easily transportable all-in-one system for the immediate decontamination of 1 to 2 persons. Wrapping the injured person in a CBRN rescue blanket stops the intake of any further chemicals via the skin and prevents contaminants from being spread. The contaminated person is then lifted into a special rotating device for persons, in which he or she can be decontaminated very gently from all sides and is at the same time protected against being seen and the effects of the weather. A second CBRN rescue blanket is used for the further transportation of the decontaminated person, e.g. to a hospital.
This innovative and unique system of its kind for the decontamination of persons, which was already presented to the public at the “Global Security Asia” exhibition in Singapore in mid-March, should be introduced globally starting from the middle of this year. The sales partner for the German-speaking countries will be Dönges GmbH & Co. KG, Remscheid.
“With the DRDS 1, we will once more demonstrate our competence in mobile protection and supply systems. CBRN decontamination is as important as water supply, field catering and field accommodation", states Sales Manager Wolfgang Marx with regard to the large product portfolio of Kärcher Futuretech in the area of civil defence and disaster control systems.
Anyone wishing to receive more information or to discuss this subject personally is warmly welcome at Stand J 1310 at the RETTmobil.
