Water made in Luxembourg
Winnenden, December 2007 – The Luxembourg Army is pursuing new, modern paths in the area of drinking water treatment. Since October, the soldiers of the Grand Duchy have been purifying their water using the Kärcher Futuretech Waterclean WTC 1600 GT before filling it into bags by means of the WPS 1600 GT water packaging system.

Up to 1,600 litres of drinking water can be filled into individual bags in an hour. In the field, the soldier can choose his preferred size of bag, from 0.25 litre or 0.5 litre to 1 litre. The so-called chain bags can be carried by the soldiers directly on their person. This new concept was developed and realized through a close cooperation between Kärcher Futuretech and the Luxembourg Army. Working together, the systems for drinking water purification and packaging represent a compact, economically efficient, and environmentally friendly solution for operation in the field, starting at the water source and ending with the satisfaction of thirst.

Realized was the order by the company Clean-Center. “To serve the customer as its best by zero fault tolerance”, states Christian De Bernardi, owner of the company. “Especially here within the order of water treatment systems this is of highest importance, and it also explains our long-time cooperation with the Luxembourg Army.”

By completing the order of three complete systems, the Luxembourg need of mobile drinking water supply has been met for the time being.
