2nd International Workshop: Kärcher Futuretech presents its Water Bottling Plant 700
Winnenden, August 2005 – Kärcher Futuretech GmbH staged the Second International Workshop on "Drinking Water Purification and Water Bottling Systems" in Fellbach (near Stuttgart) in July. More than 80 participants came to the Classic Congress Hotel where they exchanged their ideas and experiences in the field of drinking water purification and bottling. Experts from over 20 countries presented the latest technologies in theory and practice.
The speaker of the Board of Directors, Hartmut Jenner, opened the event with an overview of Alfred Kärcher GmbH & Co. KG. The participants received a large range of information about mobile water treatment - Sami Areikat (United Nations) presented the various UN programmes in a short overview, Prof. Dr. Numan Al-Niaimi reported on the need and use of water purification and bottling systems in the Arab world, plus there was information about the different system applications within the Portuguese Armed Forces and Swiss relief organisations.
A high-light was the demonstration of the Water Bottling Plant 700, a mobile drinking water filling system, which was introduced to the public for the first time at the Kärcher facilities in Winnenden. The WBP 700 is able to produce PET bottles from pre-forms in a field camp. These PET bottles are filled with fresh drinking water under hygienic conditions. The logistics effort is thus reduced considerably. Up to 15,000 bottles can be filled per day. "Economical water bottling of the highest quality is guaranteed. The Water Bottling Plant 700 is the logical further development of our systems in the area of mobile water purification and has great potential“ gave Helmut Stelzmüller, Managing Director of Kärcher Futuretech, as the reason for this enlargement of the product range. The international guests returned home with many new impressions. The next workshop is planned for 2007.
