Effective shower system for universal and rapid use for the decontamination of persons. The field shower runs on the Kärcher high-pressure modules.

The Kärcher field shower operates on two sides in opposite directions. On one side RM 21, a decontamination agent which does not irritate the skin, is added by means of a chemical injector. On the other side, this is rinsed off with clean water. The two-stage method enables an optimal decontamination result requiring only a minimum of water and chemicals.

The shower water is prepared by an injector where the heated compressed water and the aspirated cold water are blended to make comfortably warm shower water. A heat-compensation reservoir in the base of the field shower regulates the temperature. The water temperature is set by means of the thermostat on the apparatus. A temperature safety valve at the injector protects against excessively high water temperature.

By using commercially available Storz fire-brigade connections the field shower can be connected to any infrastructural source of water with normal mains water pressure in order to increase its efficiency (also for civil defence and disaster control).

The Kärcher field shower is made completely of stainless steel and painted with a coating resistant to warfare agents. This makes the shower easy to decontaminate. The Kärcher field shower consists of two parts and can be disassembled for transport purposes.

For privacy and protection from the cold the field shower can also be used inside the Kärcher decon tent.
